As the founder of PayHalal, Patrick has been responsible for the development, growth and overarching strategy of PayHalal's Technology and product delivery systems since its modest beginnings. He is the grand architect of the technology platform of Souqa Fintech. Now in his new role as CMO/Grand Architect, Patrick has been a driving factor in the company's creativity, technology and Islamic Fintech evolution, Patrick and the Kuala Lumpur-based teams that work with him have been vital to the company's global expansion and foothold in Islamic Fintech around the world. Patrick's Experiences include brand consulting for Nestlè AOA, Unilever, Colgate Palmolive, Proctor & Gamble, Direct Access Southern Bank, ABN UMBRO Bank, HSBC, EON Bank, Asia Life and Prudential.
Patrick’s most accomplished feat would be driving the strategy to generate volume for MAGGI/Nestle. Patrick and the Maggi team embarked on tactical journey to drive Maggi business to RM570 million which was successfully achieved in 2010. As a young creative group head in 1994, Patrick and his creative partner, Matt Hilbert were tasked to kick start a bank without branch under Southern Bank. DIRECT ACCESS gained tremendous momentum and picked up in transaction. The idea of a dial up phone acting as your bank was revolutionary. This was one of the things that triggered Pat to think about Nett Cash in 1999, however the financial regulator wasn’t ready for it back then. In 2015, Pat dreamt up PayHalal. He has extensive experience in the field of marketing, advertising and retail and has also served in various other organisations and industry committees including the 2002 Hockey World Cup. Prior to Souqa Fintech, Pat was the Founder CEO of Potter Groupe, Salam and Seers.
